Twisted Trails Off Road Park

Updated: Dec 5, 2023

Don't get it twisted, it isn't what you think.

What do you do with a bunch of land in a rural Florida county? Well you turn it into an offroad park, that is what you do, or at least that is what one family did. Twisted trails Off Road Park is open to all highway legal off road vehicles. It is mostly open select weekends and has only recently become open to the public.

The park consits of a rock crawl, immediately entering the gates. The trails are not so much twisted, as they are switchbacks with some gnarly waves.

A near constant up and down ride throughout the park's trails. The trails make up about 3 miles of the park but are not the only attraction.

In addition to the initial rock crawl section in the beginning of the park, there is a wide open pit with high banks made of loose dirt, making it quite a puckering experience to watch someone climb it. There is also a long mud drive, a narrow area of wet dirt with high sides. When we were there, no one was able to make it through and most needed the assistance of the backhoe to get out.

The park is indeed small, but a lot is packed into the small package. At first it may seem a little, MEH, but I dare you to ride the trails and not have a smile on your face. It just isn't possible. Is it worth the entrance fee of $20? A resounding YES. You just can't put a price on fun and that is exactly what you will have when you visit, F.U.N.

Check out their schedule on their website TwistedTrailsOffRoadFlorida.com .
